Booking Policy

This Booking Policy for the Western Isle Hotel in Abule Ado, Lagos, is based on local hospitality standards and the 2026 Nigerian regulatory environment, including the NIHOTOUR Establishment Act.

1. Reservation and Guarantee

  • Booking Requirement: Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. To confirm a booking, guests must provide a valid credit/debit card or make a 50% deposit of the total booking amount.
  • Identification: In compliance with Nigerian security laws, all guests (and each member of the party over 16) must present a valid government-issued photo ID (National ID, International Passport, or Driver's License) upon check-in.

2. Payment Terms

  • Currency: Payments are accepted in Nigerian Naira (₦). Major credit/debit cards and bank transfers are the preferred methods.
  • Settlement: The remaining balance must be settled in full upon check-in or as otherwise specified in your booking confirmation.
  • Taxes: All rates are inclusive of 7.5% VAT and any applicable state consumption taxes as per 2026 regulations.

3. Cancellation and No-Show

  • Standard Cancellation: Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.
  • Late Cancellation/No-Show: If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours before arrival, or in the case of a no-show, the hotel will charge 100% of the first night's stay.
  • Non-Refundable Rates: Discounted or promotional rates are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable from the time of booking.

  • Check-in Time: From 2:00 PM (14:00). Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur a 50% surcharge of the daily rate.
  • Check-out Time: Until 12:00 PM (Noon).
  • Late Check-out: Extensions between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM are charged at 50% of the daily rate. Check-outs after 6:00 PM will incur a full night's charge.

5. Guest Conduct and Safety

  • Security Monitoring: The hotel premises, including the car park and public areas, are monitored by 24-hour CCTV for guest safety.
  • Smoking Policy: All guest rooms and indoor facilities are strictly non-smoking. Designated smoking areas are provided outdoors. A cleaning fee of ₦50,000 applies to violations.
  • Damages: Guests are personally liable for any damage to hotel property, including irreversible damage to linens (e.g., from makeup) or room fixtures.
